Brindisi’s favourite promenade, looking across to the rudder-shaped monument.
The harbour promenade
Lungomare Regina Margherita runs along the western inlet, between cafés, palazzi and moored boats. At sunset the light falls on the water and the opposite shore.
The monument
Across the water rises the Monument to the Italian Sailor, inaugurated in 1933: a rudder-shaped structure dedicated to fallen sailors, with a memorial crypt and a panoramic terrace.
Getting there
Small boats cross the harbour from the promenade to the monument, a short ride with a fresh view of the city.
