Support and aid for UN missions worldwide set out from Brindisi.
The Global Service Centre
Since 1994 Brindisi has hosted the United Nations logistics base, now the UN Global Service Centre, supporting peace operations and field missions with logistics, communications and services.
The humanitarian depot
Nearby is UNHRD, the humanitarian response depot network run by the World Food Programme, from which relief items ship out in emergencies.
An international city
This presence brings staff and delegations from around the world and makes Brindisi a reference point for international cooperation.
