A reserve between land and sea
Torre Guaceto is a state nature reserve and marine protected area: kilometres of coast with dunes, wetlands and Mediterranean scrub, north of Brindisi.
The tower
It takes its name from the 16th-century coastal watchtower on the headland, part of the defences against raids from the sea.
